The work behind the photographs

This gallery records practical tree and land-management operations rather than proposed designs. The pictures show different stages of work: standing trees before dismantling, machinery processing vegetation, timber being handled and commercial areas after clearance. A photograph illustrates a job type, not a promise that the same approach will suit another property. Access, ground conditions and surrounding features determine the method chosen for each enquiry.

Use the categories to compare the operations relevant to your plans. Site clearance photographs show how vegetation and woody material can be tackled on larger plots. Tree work images illustrate climbing and sectional removal in confined surroundings. The stump grinding category focuses on the treatment left after a tree has been removed, while hedge photographs show both hand trimming and tractor-mounted flailing. Commercial images cover working spaces where vehicles, pedestrians or buildings affect the plan.

Planning a similar project

When discussing a photograph with us, describe the result you need rather than asking only for the machine shown. Mulching cuts suitable vegetation into smaller material, but that finish differs from removing roots or preparing land for construction. A dismantled tree may still leave a stump requiring separate attention. The captions identify the visible operation without assigning an unverified customer or location to the image.

For an assessment, give us the site postcode, approximate work area and any access restrictions. Mention retained trees, fences, overhead cables and buried services that you know about. Recent photographs of your own site can help explain what is present, although concealed obstructions and permissions may still need checking during a visit. AS Arboriculture offers free, no-obligation site visits and written estimates so the intended operation and waste arrangements can be discussed before work starts.
